Having the advantage of the Azure Decrescent Herald living in our Barony, we generally ask Mistress Rhainnon to help sort out the Toasts!  When in Hawkwood we have been most often asked to lead the Toast, either by Their Majesties or a helpful Herald or Peer.  Although not all of our own Toasts have been as eloquent as we might have wished, it has always been a pleasure and a privelege.

Our own basic rule of thumb was best expressed by Mistress Rhiannon:
