Me Me I remember!
I used to be seneschal of Myrkewood many moons ago...
Don't ask how many moons and I won't have to give you
a smack for disrespecting your elders....
(okay okay, it was 24 years ago)
Myrkewood (official spelling) was the oldest Barony in
the East Kingdom being charted in 1971. (The charter
is still around somewhere) It's borders extended at
one time I believe as far south as south carolina.
Then Atlantia became a pricipality and the barony
waned down to the maryland area. It remained part of
the east until 1984? when it transfered to Atlantia.
BY the tithe Northern maryland area and the land south
at Ft. Meade was the shire of arindale.
Yes Odd as it is, when Atlantia became a pricipality
they took the myrkewood newsletter with them and
continued to call it the "Acorn". Why they never
changed the name to a more ocean name I'll never know.
And the rest as they say is history.
Martelle von Charlottenburg,
who's pert near as old as the Ancient and Venerable
crowns....
