The label of the Acorn will show that you have a paid membership and its
expiration date. However, it does NOT show proof of a signed waiver on file
at Milpitas. A blue membership card shows proof that you have a current
waiver on file at the corporate office. If you can't prove you have a
waiver on file when you show up at Troll or the MoL table, you have to sign
one before you get to play. The blue card provides this proof, a copy of
the Acorn doesn't.

The newsletter can be used, and has been used for many years, as proof as it
has all the vital info. The label should have your member number and
expiration date. If all else fails you can go to the SCA web site and print
out a letter that states you are a paid member. Therefore a card is not
required, just more convenent.
