I have to disagree with the person who keeps stating that the calendar
is online. It's not always possible to have the information online
immediately. As my group's webmistress, I use acorn.atlantia.sca.org
to fill in our calendar. Frequently the information is just not
there. (Not a complaint, merely a statement.)
I would like to see in the short-form announcements on the website a
link to the website for the event if there is one. For example, I
only JUST got the link for crown tournament because it was posted to
the Merry Rose.
For some reason I was under the impression that Kingdom-Level events
got use of a redirect from the related URL to the webpage. For
example, in this case, Crown's webpage was hosted on the Tir-y-don
site. So, I would think that crown.atlantia.sca.org would redirect to
the Tir-y-don site (specifically the section/page that had information
on crown tournament).
In summary, I suppose my questions are:
1. Could the short-form listing include a link to the web page for
the event (if provided)?
2. Is there a reason why some Kingdom-level events use the redirect
and some don't? It's not too hard generally to redirect a page to
another page/set of pages.
Thank you!
