It is one thing to convert the kingdom's A&S
newsletter to electronic format (the Oak) which was
Mistress Karen's accomplishment not mine. She did all
the hard work for that and I get to reap the benefits.
The Oak is not funded by our membership but strictly
by donations of which we have plenty right now. Thank
you very much for your generosity!!

It's another thing to convert the one legal guarantee
our membership provides. While most of us are online
there are still those that aren't and with varying
economies sometimes those that were with conections
suddenly find themselves without.

We're still ironing out kinks just on the electronic
Oak. Maybe after we get our feet wet with that for a
couple years the SCA will be able to consider other
possibilities for other publications.

We as a kingdom are already breaking new ground in
that direction with the Oak.

By the way I hope to have the first electronic version
available soon. I had a draft ready and then a couple
more very neat articles were submitted which I wanted
to include. Please keep the submissions coming! Even
if you have a web site already it's also important to
publish. All publications go through an editing
process to help you keep your documentation from
plagiarism issues. Web sites might be well documented
and might not. I hope to have two releases of the Oak
this year. One before Pennsic and one after.
