Absolutely!!!
If it helps, you can always say "Your Majesty, forgive me, but I am unable
to rise.", which lets them know that you'd like to, but aren't physically
capable. And most, will immediately reassure you and maybe even come down
to your level to chat.
The same is true when called into court. If kneeling is an issue, for
whatever reason, simply ask them, if you may stand. I have yet to see a
Crown who would not graciously grant the request and usually rise to stand
with you.
