Thanks for the correction Anne, but this certainly leaves many questions
hanging:

Ok then, if I read that correctly then ... then from corporate's point
of view ... any 'gathering' that is published in an appropriate
corporate publication (such as the Acorn, or even Baronial Newsletters)
is an event. If date, time, and place were published.

Therefore, if at any of these, a fee is required, NMS is required as well.

This would mean, that yes, All Things Marshal may not be an event in the
eyes of Atlantia ... but IS an event in the eyes of Corporate. An
interesting clarification.

If you take this further it also means that in the eyes of corporate,
that Fighter Practices, Business meetings, and so on, would be 'Events'.

Just that since we don't charge admission, we don't collect NMS.

It would seem to imply though, that if you had a fighter practice that
required a fee to attend, in order to pay for the site. Or an archery
practice that had a fee to pay for site/equipment/etc ... that NMS would
have to be collected.

yes?

Can we have these gray areas clarified?

And these seem to confirm that ... According to corporate, fighter
practices, meetings, etc are all SCA Events ... and are therefore
subject to the surcharge, if they charge admission.
