The Sargents of Saint AIden will be hosting what we are calling a Tourney of Heraldry. It is meant to bring more vivid pomp and circumstance to the tourney field as well as audience participation. In order to correct some confusion, here is what the Sargeants of Saint Aiden have planned.
The tourney will be run as a bear pit style tourney of 5-7 persons (Life is not fair if you have 5.) wounds retained. The teams must be in matching livery of either a Household or Barony to receive bonus points. You can still put together a team on site as long as there is a attempt at unit identification. (Ribbon on the arn, spruce in the helm.)
Each team, including those put together on site, must have a Herald in Matching livery. Each round the Herald announces his team, and if that round is won the Herald must collect a jewel from the designated Marshal on the Field. Most jewels held by the team at the end wins the Tourney. If the Herald screws up and does not get his jewels, woe to them.
Is that all you may ask? Nope, extra points are awarded on the following:
If the team is fighting for a Peer, and the Peer is on the team, extra point
If the team represents a Baroney, and the Baron or Baroness is fighting
+2 points are awarded
If the team has a large Banner to represent them, carried by the Harald
+1 point
If the container made for the jewels is Heraldic for the Team +1 point
Cheering sections in Heraldry that are very vocal for their team can earn points.
Special 5 point jewels will be given out to the Queen and any in Her court to be given out at their discretion.
Teams with more then one Peer on it, the Peers are not allowed to
use the same weapons form.
