DUBLIN, Ireland, March 14 (UPI) -- The Republic of Ireland is doing 
some legal housecleaning, and will scrap an 825-year-old law that 
bans Jews from owning a suit of armor. 
 
That 1181 law is among some 2,300 statutes dating back as far as 
1,000 years that Prime Minister Bertie Ahern is intent on abolishing, 
the Washington Times reports.
