Congrats to all those who won/attended/participated in the A&S Festival. The items of display were truely amazing. Would the person who submitted the scrolls in the 3 ring binder Master ???? Please contact me off list?? I have some questions for you!!! (They were beautiful.) For anyone who didn't go - some of us here in the canton took LOTS of pictures.
Vivat to all who participated - it is by far the most superior work I have seen in a very long time.
Blessed Be to all and may your life be filled with love.

The cheapest way to get books to them from various locations is using the US
Postal service using the "Bound Media Rate." This is cheaper and has more
leeway on size and weight restrictions. It is a little slower.

Dear Atlantians all,
I came across this locally here in our Barony of Marinus, but I knew that
the gracious hearts of Atlantia would join in and pass the word.
Members of our local Knights of Columbus have joined with an African
Missionary Sheb Abi-Nader in seeking out books of all types, from children's
books to college text books to be sent to Kenya rural areas to establish
"reading rooms" to small Libraries. For a listing of subjects that they
are looking for please check www.missionhope.ws.
They have already collected a tractor trailer full and looking for more.
other contact information or more details:
Sheb Abi-Nader 757-575-4856 or shebabi at cox.net
George Odongo 757-375-3434 or odongo at missionhope.ws
or Dennis Atkins, Grand Knight datkinsll at aol.com

Have any of the folks who've done leatherworking seen a punch that can cut
circles out of leather? I'm thinking something along the lines of 1 1/2" to
3" in diameter (not too terribly picky here).
I'm having a tough time finding one, but I'm also known for not knowing what
search term to use. Thanks!

As the person who designed and registered the Arms for the Bright Hills I
have to point out that they are also INCORRECT on this site. The arms of the
Bright Hills should have 3 mountains of EQUAL height in base (It was
originally dancity of 3 points). NO pint or mountain should be higher than
the others.
I will try to get Master Eldred (deputy Signet for the Web) to fix these.
Please, if anyone else sees a problem with their groups device let me and
Master Eldred know ASAP.

As a member of Highland Foorde, I would like to point out that the
Device shown on that page for Highland Foorde is not correct.
The colors of the waves are incorrect, as shown, they are from top to
bottom: blue, white, blue, white.
This is an incorrect interpretation, as it breaks the rule of no color
on color (the blue on the red).
The correct interpretation has the waves: white, blue, white, blue
Which can be seen here:
http://highland-foorde.atlantia.sca.org/
Or better here:
http://highland-foorde.atlantia.sca.org/credits.shtml
I'm cc'ing the maintainer of the scribes webpage on this to make sure
that it gets changed. Should take literally just a few seconds with
flood fill tool *smile*

Greetings Atlantia!
Please forgive me if you receive this twice.
I just spoke with Her Excellency, Kisaiya, and she wanted me to let folks
know that she's most likely going to be taking the rest of the week off of
work, as she's currently recovering from pneumonia. (She has no e-mail
access at home)
She asked that, if you need something having to do with the barony, please
contact Master Robear or Baroness Fiona.
If you need something pertaining to the chatelaine's office, please contact
her deputy, Lady Lucia, who's contact information is on the chatelaine's
webpage, off the Atlantian page.
While she is feeling a wee bit better, she's still coughing quite a bit, and
talking is a real chore. If you need to contact her, please either contact
myself at this e-mail or Baroness Fiona (contact info available in the back
of the Acorn), and we'll pass a message along to her for you. (You can try
calling her, but I believe she's got her phone turned off most of the time,
so she can rest.)
Thank you!
In service to the dream,
Lady Oddny

Target Archery Marshal. If you can help, please contact, either by E-mail or

Northern Regional War Practice
Sunday March 12 (The traditional day after Bloodbath)
All stalwart warriors ready to brave wind and ice awaken from your
winter slumber and join the first Northern Regional War Practice on
Sunday, March 12th.
The site will be the traditional Ponte Alto Sunday Practice site at
Tysons-Pimmit Park, behind Tysons-Pimmit Library, Falls Church
Our simple plan for the day is melee, melee, and even more melee.
Warmups and singles to begin at noon, with the first call to muster at
1pm.
Directions:
Take your best route to I-495. Get off at the exit for Route 7 East
(Falls Church). The library is on the left about 1 mile. Park in the
library lot and go down the hill to the park.

Greetings, Atlantia!
As some of you know, Baroness Beatrice Von Staufen and I are putting together a
day-long class on marshallate for the horse and marshal training for thrown
weapons on Saturday March 11. All those interested in becoming a thrown weapons
marshal please contact Her Excellency so she can get a head count and she will
give you directions to the site in North Carolina. The thrown weapons
marshallate course will fulfill 75% of your requirements for becoming a marshal;
instruction, test, and MIT for one event. You would need to MIT at one more
event to finish your training. Bring your thrown weapons along if you have any
and enjoy a wonderful time learning and throwing!
Yours in Service,
