One of my friends here in the frigid Midrealm is a professor of art
history (and sometime consultant to the local Students for Creative
Anachronism group) who focuses on pilgrim's badges. I asked her about
the St. Roche pilgrim's badge, and here's her response.

Hope it helps. (I'm sending this out to all, in case others have
pilgrim's badge questions, too.)

Cheers,
Cecily

Hi Stacie,

Glad to help. I know of two pilgrim badges associated with St. Roche,
though I don't know if they can actually be tied to the pilgrimage site
in Venice. Both badges, dating from 1450-1500, were found in the
Netherlands and are in the collection of H.J.E. van Beuningen. You can
find pictures and basic information on them at

http://www.let.kun.nl/ckd/kunera/

This is a database of all published pilgrim souvenirs and secular
badges put together by Jos Koldweij and his students.

I hope this helps!

 :)

Sarah
