[Shameless plug for siege in general, and specifically at Stierbach's B-Day]

Ever wanted to throw sticks and stones at someone?

Well here is your chance! No need to be able to build your own siege
engine, there are plenty around the Kingdom in dire need of hands to
help operate them effectively in support of the Atlantian Army. If
you enjoy picking off that one annoying fighter in funny armour on the
other side of the field with huge arrow, try your hand at sniping with
one of the arbalests or ballista. Or if you are more in the mood for
carpet bombing an entire unit with rocks, then try your hand at a
trebuchet or onager.

Always felt like you wanted to be on the melee field in support of the
Atlantian Army, but don't have the time to dedicate to becoming a
deadly fighter? Or do you just not want to get clubbed? Either way,
siege can allow you to be a part of the action while not spending much
time at it or not getting clubbed often.

At Stierbach's Baronial Birthday on July 22 the Atlantian Siege Guild
will be hosting a "Siege Engine Petting Zoo" and have a range open for
anyone to try their hand at being part of a crew.

For those who have been toying with building an engine here is a great
chance to size up a number of different types of engines, and talk to
the builders who are all local, and all in one place to boot.

And for those industrious souls who have built their own toys, uh
siege engines that is, here is the perfect opportunity to test your
skill against those from throughout the Known World. The range will
be setup to allow for the recording of ISWC scores (the siege
communities equivalent of the Royal Round or IKAC).
