Greetings fellow Atlantians!

I am in need of your assistance. Recently there has been a woefully disturbing lack of court reports. Less than half of the expected court reports in the last two months have been turned in. This means that many awards given to deserving gentles have not been recorded.

That said, would the court heralds for the following events please contact me as soon as possible regarding the court reports of said events:

Birthday of the Black Prince on 5/20/06 - Was baronial court held? If so, who was the herald?
Hidden Mountain Baronial Birthday on 5/27/06 - Court herald contacted but has not responded
King's Assessments on 6/17/06 - Who heralded royal court? Was baronial court held as well as royal court? If so, who was the baronial herald?
Storvik Novice Tourney on 7/8/06 - Storvik Baronial Court Report has not been turned in
Windmasters' Hill Baronial Champions on 7/8/06 - Was baronial court held? If so, who was the herald?

For the events listed above, if you know that a court happened, or you know who heralded a particular court, please let me know so I can attempt to contact the herald directly. If you know that *no* court happened, I would appreciate that information as well. To start, I assume that events held by a Barony or Baronial sub-group will have held baronial court when listing expected court reports. If no court was held at an event, I'd like to know so I can take that event off the expected court reports list. The expected court reports list can be found on the front page of the OP web site: http://op.atlantia.sca.org

Again, a reminder to all people who have the privilege of heralding court: privileges come with obligations. When you accept the honor of heralding court, please be aware that you are also accepting responsibility for the reporting requirements involved. Per Atlantian Policy, court reports are due to the Clerk of Precedence, Triton Principal Herald, and the presiding Crowns or Coronets within 2 weeks of the event. Please herald court responsibly.

Pennsic is approaching. Pennsic is an especially difficult event for court reporting, as there are many courts held throughout the war in all sorts of places: besides Atlantian Court, there are battlefield courts, baronial courts, etc. If you are asked to herald a court at Pennsic, please be diligent about recording court business and storing that information in a safe place that will make it home with you so you can properly report it.

As a result of recent discussion on the Atlantian Heralds list, I have posted information about what a court report should (and could!) contain on the OP web site for reference:

Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding court report format or requirements; I'm far happier answering questions than chasing down overdue court reports!

In Service,
