I have an extra copy of "Siculo Arabic" by Dionisius Agius which I would be
happy to give to a good home.

"This book re-examines the socio-linguistic situation in Sicily during both
the Islamic (485-1091) and the Norman (1091-1282) rules. Together with Islam
and Christianity, the customs of the local people mixed with those of the
Arabs, Berbers, Normans, Lombards, and others. This assimilation is called
Siculo Arabic."

Although mainly based on linguistics, there is, at the same time, immediate
documention for many "things" during this time period: hedgehog, the small
long hairs under the part beneath the lower jaw of the camel, a rolling pin,
tooth-stick, a man having no hair upon the side of his face (but only upon his
chin), a game with three dice, orange blossoms, etc.

If more than one person wants the book, I'll put the names in a hat and draw
one.
