Greetings good people of Atlantia !

Autocrat Beatrix Von Leipzig deserves major praise for all her work on this
years Storvik Novice and Unbelt Tourney's. Planning for this event began
months ago with Lady Beatrix as the Autocrat of her first event. In keeping
with the Novice theme of the event, for the last few years, the Autocrat has
also been a novice!

We expected 2 maybe 300 attendees. We had over 400. As a direct result of
the meticulous planning, involving meetings, emails, phone calls, long
parking lot conversations, there were volunteers at all points who actually
had recruited crews! They handled the crush of people flawlessly. We must
add that many of the event staff have been in Storvik less than a year.
Each and every person who toted, lifted, set up, broke down, packed out,
marshaled tourney's, did authorizations, fought in tourney's, set up and
broke down the fabulous Archery range, fought, marshaled and authorized
rapier fighters, counted money, worked MoL, watered the populace, cooked the
food, cleaned the feast hall, kept the potty's stocked, worked at troll,
parked the many many cars, dressed the newcomer's, sold merchandise, (thanks
Roxbury Mill for the great watering stand... I loved the sugar free
lemonade!), wrangled the kids, kept Baron Sean watered and fed, We, Baron
and Baroness of Storvik tip our hats!

Much respect and thanks to our MoAS Janina Krakowska for running a stunning
A&S display, competition and classes. Lady Ethelfleda your lampwork beading
demonstration got high high praise from the populace...thank you!

Special thanks to Clan Cambion, a group within Storvik that has been here
longer than Storvik... Your willingness to teach us how to live in the
middle ages is without compare. Baron Rorik, Master Herveus, Sir Stanford,
Sir Vologia, Mistress Feveronia, Lord Andrew, and of course Lady Janina,
your inspiration keeps us going!

Lord William the Younger, the marshaled activities - splendid! Thank you
for all the work you do for our fighters! This event requires a lot of
marshals. Lord William, kudo's for your recruiting skill! Marshal's, MiT's
mark your calendar for next year!

As you have seen in other missives, the winners of the Novice and Unbelt
tourney's were from the East Kingdom. We expect a gauntlet to be thrown
down sometime soon.... Atlantian Novice fighters... Unbelts... second week
of July next year... ( We think we just threw it)

A Storvik event is not complete without a roaring fire. Lord Llyr
Wyndhaven, thank you for making that happen. I saw 75 or so folks fully
enjoying song and stories late into the night!

We had little to do with this event. We showed up at planning meetings and
let the group run with it. All of you have made Storvik shine brighter! We
are grateful to our many mentors throughout the Kingdom. Countess Aryanna,
Mistress Genevieve, Duke Galmr, Duke Bedouin, Thank you all for your
consistent support.

The next fabulous Storvik event will be Post Pennsic Revel, August 26, 2006
Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church, 3215 Powder Mill Rd., Adelphi,
MD 20783. The site will open at 4:00 p.m. and close at 11:00 p.m

The next fighting event will be Storvik Baronial Birthday in October, check
the Kingdom Event site for updates...

Thanks to all of you for such a splendid day!

Baron Sean and Baroness Elizabeth, Storvik
