Greetings to the List:
When a coworker of mine heard me describing the SCA, she asked, "Can they
teach me how to swordfight with real swords?" I explained that we in the SCA
do not use live steel in our tournaments.
She wants to learn combat with live steel. And yes, she means playing with
swords, not, quoth she, "that fancy fencing thing". Nor is she interested in
martial arts sword use.
I know there's got to be somebody on this list who can give me a lead to
pass along to her. My first thought was the folks who train the Maryland
Renn Fair cast, whoever they are.
Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks,
Amie Sparrow
