An escallop is what you'd expect it to be-a scallop shell, the
same as the one on a Shell Oil gas station sign, except that most
escallops are hinge-up, where the Shell Oil one is hinge-down.

Erminois-take that Shell Oil shell, now that you've turned it 180
degrees. Now, paint it with ermine spots. Take your pick-there's
