Unto Your Royal Highness Michael, Crown Prince of Atlantia, from Donal Mac Ruiseart,

Greeting

It is my sincere hope that this missive finds Your Highnesses and all your house - particularly its newest addition - in the best of health and spirit.

I write in this open forum because the question I wish to pose is potentially of general interest to any who plan to enter Crown Tourney. I myself do not plan to enter, but on seeing the announcement in ACORN, the question sprung to my mind.

The announcement states that no thrusting will be allowed in that Tourney.

Is this across the board? If, especially at the end of the tourney, the combatants elect to fight with glaives, will they not be allowed to thust with them?

For many years, as Your Highness and I know, thrusting with the broadsword was rarely if ever seen, and likewise with the great sword. But the art of the pole-arm has so long included the thrust, that it would be a major hindrance to most glaiviers not to be able to use it.

It is my honor to remain
Your Highnesses' servant and Atlantia's

Donal
