Dear cousins - I would like to thanks and acknowledge all the wonderful
gentles that helped make Mistress Ysolt la Bretonne's elevation to the
Peerage the celebration it was!! M. Simone, M. Nikulai for advice and
assistance, our 4 worthies -Sir Rodrigo Falcone, M. Thjora, M. Isabel
for their wonderful speeches that brought tears to my eyes, M. Danr and
M. Isabel for coordination, M.Karen Larsdatter for the vigil book, M.
Valdemar for the Pavilion of Many Vigils. Thank yous to Duchess Arielle
for her kind words as Companion of the Rose, and M. Simone for bringing
them to us. To my house guests, M. Derbhila, Ld. Tom and Ldy. Jocetta
for visiting and being put to work, and to Jocetta for making sure the
mouse looked like neither a rat nor Mickey :-) Also to Lady Siobhan for
her lovely scroll, and Lady Beatrice and M. Idonea for food, and Lady
Bryn for last minute help. To M.Efenwealt, M. Aenor, and Ld. Olivier for
their composition and performance. To Their Majesties Janos and Rachael
for delightful deviousness- You looked quite pleased with Yourselves
:-) But especial thanks need to be given in several quarters. Firstly,
to the entire Rapier community, who when the field did not allow them to
have their tourney, volunteered en masse for guard duty for the vigil -
a more honorable, cheerful, and noble company cannot be found anywhere -
Con O'Quyrke, Thorgimr inn Kyrri, Armando Ramirez, Sane a a Selle,
Geoffrey ap Clywd, Thomas Haupmann, Daniel of Cuddlain Downs, Ludwig von
Osterreich, Constanza de Talan(?), Philip Allosan, Rosalind Delamere,
and Tiernen Fenr - you have my undying thanks. Secondly to the Royal
Cabin and all those who helped move everything up the slippery slope to
dry quarters- you were much appreciated by all. Thirdly to Lady
Siobhan's newly adopted daughter Cat James, who moved to Windmasters on
Sunday and by Friday was slaving in my kitchen creating the lovely
hospitality table complete with marvelous mischevous marzipan mice - we
look forward to your presence in the future and will commend you to the
cooks of the Kingdom. And finally, to Maestra Francesca la Curiosa -for
being M. Ysolt's true friend and companion, and an exemplar of courtesy
and service to us all. And to Lady Geva, who would have been delighted,
especially with the Pelican Hat :-)... In service to you all, Mistress
Rosalind Jehanne
