In joyous celebration of this Shrovetide season our
most noble tourneyers, both civilian and armoured,
represented the knightly virtues with great passion
and did not escape the notice of the beautiful ladies
of the gallery.

The armoured tourney included some great challenges
with poleaxes, long swords, axes, and even daggers!!
There were fights at the barrier including a melee of
two, 10 men teams.
Even though the day was cold the arena sheltered us
from the breath of Old Man Winter, while the heat of
battle kept us combatants warm, the galleries were
wrapped up in cloaks and heated with delicacies.
However this was not just a day for arts of Mars, but
also for the arts of Venus as well. The halls rang
with sounds of singing to sooth our souls. Artisans
displayed their skills with brush and canvas. Children
were played their own form of music, displayed their
growing skills of art, and were entertained by the
gentle hands of noble ladies and countesses.
And as the day drew to a close, a sumptuous feast the
likes of which many had not tasted in a great while
was given, by a true master chef.

All had such enjoyment, as all who attended truly felt
apart of a grand event, and not just a fragment there
of. And while I was co-steward to the day’s events, I
must give praise where praise is rightfully due, for
this event would not have held a fraction of its glory
if was not for the hard work and skill of my own lady
wife, Lady Courtney de Houghton.

Humbly recounted, by Lord Connor Sinclair de
Winterfell
