Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend
          In its 36th year as host of the Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend, The Campagna Center is proud to launch Alexandria’s holiday season with the fresh scent of heather and the festive melody of bagpipes throughout the quaint streets of Old Town. The Saint Andrew’s Society of Washington, D.C. partners with The Campagna Center to produce the annual parade complete with over 100 clans dressed in their colorful tartans. 

The Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend is one of the largest fundraising activities for The Campagna Center's programs. These programs include Alexandria Head Start and Early Head Start; Campagna Kids, quality before and after school child care; The Campagna Learning Center - Arlandria Project; Wright to Read, tutoring for elementary students reading below grade level; the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and Building Better Futures, a tutoring and mentoring program for Latino youth at T.C. Williams. For 61 years, The Center's mission has been to strengthen families and create save havens for children to flourish.    
The Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend draws nearly 30,000 individuals and families to the Parade. Tourists travel from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region to participate in this celebrated community event. The Walk Weekend Events, including Saturday's Parade and Home Tour are held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather on Saturday morning, please watch this site for additional information and/or contact The Campagna Center at (703) 549-0111 for a recorded message on any delays or cancellations.
