[MR] Becoming a youth combat marshal

Greetings!

At Unevent this past weekend, I had enough folks ask about the guidelines 
for becoming a youth marshal, that I wanted to "get the word out."  Please 
forward this to any pertinent list or person who should see it.

When we first launched YC, the marshals were pulled from the pool of heavy 
marhsals.  This is no longer a requirement.  You are no longer required to 
be a warranted marshal in any other discipline to become a youth combat 
marshal.

The process looks very much like becoming any other sort of marshal:  Find 
a sponsor, fill out the paperwork, read the rules, take the Marshal 101 
class, take the Youth Marshal MIT class, (read the rules again :-), work 
as an MIT.  There is a pool of senior youth marshals who can teach the 
class.  I have asked them to offer the class "on demand" at local events 
as needed.  That way, should a university get cancelled or you can't make 
it, folks aren't stuck waiting months for the class.  This doesn't mean 
that they will teach it one on one every time asked, but when they have a 
small group locally, hopefully they can get you together and make that 
happen.
