[MR] Ernesto Contingencies for Coronation???

Having just looked at the 11 p.m. tropical forecast for Ernesto, I am
wondering if there are any contingency plans for Coronation?

The current forecast has Ernesto coming ashore again in Charleston, South
Carolina, as at least a tropical storm on Thursday evening and then more or
less following the overland route from Charleston arriving at a point on the
North Carolina-Virginia border not too far east of the Coronation site on
Friday evening.

I am hoping that this is a pessimistic forecast and that Ernesto will not
affect travel to Coronation or the Coronation site itself.

However, if this proves not to be the case, some of us may not be able to
fulfill commitments to be present at Coronation.

In my case, though I currently still plan to run the traditional Coronation
consultation table and fulfill other commitments to the Crown, a direct hit
on Charleston might well require my presence through the weekend for
clean-up at the maritime museum in Charleston harbor where I am employed
even if road conditions allowed travel to the Coronation site.
