Hi all, this is rather odd for me, but I have to ask as it bothers me
somewhat.

Are tomatoes (any form/fashion) native to Italy, and when were they noticed
(not necessarily used in recipes, just 'oh look that looks like Nightshade,
don't eat it...' kinda thing)

Please, I don't mean to start an email fight, just want to know.
