[MR] Important Crown Tourney Site Information (Long)

Spring Crown Tournament is fast approaching.  Preparations for a grand event 
are quickly taking place.  After meeting with the site again yesterday, we 
have a few notes to pass along.

The site owner has asked us to make it known that, due to their arrangement 
with the Good Sam network, non-period tents will only be accommodated in the 
wooded area of the site.  This is near parking, but a short walk from the 
main activities.  Wooded camping sites for non-period tents will be cleared 
as per reservations, which must be received by April 28th, to ensure you a 
location.  These sites are pleasantly shady and accessible by vehicle.  
Smaller period tents may also take advantage of the wooded sites.  Each site 
can accommodate only a single tent.  Please take the time to indicate whether 
you have a period or modern tent when you reserve for camping.

Pre-reserving is strongly recommended to guarantee your camping space.  RVs 
must pre-reserve with the site (1-888-530-2267) prior to April 26th to 
guarantee a hookup will be ready for you.  Camping is tentage or RV only.  
Tent camping should be reserved through our reservationist, Lady Avelyn.  
There are no cabins.

Important note:  James City County is under a strict burn ban.  Absolutely no 
flames will be allowed in the wooded area, including torches and candles.  
The period pavilion camping area will allow raised fire bowls and torches.  
Please provide your own fuel and dispose of all firings safely.  If you have 
a fire bowl or torch, you must have a properly rated fire extinguisher.  You 
may be asked to show it to the safety crew or risk having your fire privilege 
revoked.  Ground fires are absolutely forbidden.  In addition, due to the 
fact that we will be in a residential area, the owner has imposed quiet hours 
from 10pm to 8am.

Sorry to have to bomb you with rules, but aren’t you glad you know what they 
are?  :-)
