[MR] Somewhat OT, but of interest to a number on this list

As there are many on this list who are interested in American History as 
well as SCA period...

The Smithsonian announced today (ok, yesterday, it's after midnight) 
that the National Museum of American History will be closing after Labor 
Day... for renovations that are expected to take a couple of years.

A number of exhibits will be closed by sometime in July, two have 
already been closed.

(and yes, it's been in planning for a while now, but it's only just now 
had the specifics firmed up and been made public.  I'm going to miss my 
volunteer stints there :-(  )
