You know how the media always seems to target the strangest yahoo in the whole
bunch to interview? Most reenactors that I know, including Civil War
reenactors, take great pride in the quality and accuracy of their kit. Granted,
Civil War is *really* popular, so I guess they get all kinds.

"Cowboy hats, sunglasses and modern-day combat boots were no longer welcome."
This is hardly a stretch for most reenactment groups. I'm surprised that
anybody would bother complaining about requirements like this.

I'd hazard to guess that they've lost more participation due to people playing
too much Warcraft, than people being ticked that they can't wear shades.
