SILVER CHALICE 

A NOVICES TOURNY

OCTOBER 15TH 
Calling all Novices Fighters & Artisans            Calling experienced Fighters & ArtisansThe harvest season is upon us. Preparations are being made for a good winter. The Barony of Hidden Mountain invite’s one and all to join us in the grand Tourney of Silver Chalice, where novice fighters, experienced warriors and gentles alike can put their skills and prowess to the test. The day will be filled with heraldic banners all a flutter in the southern sun, merriment and the tempting smells of roast beast and the summer produce from our fields. Come and share in our bounty. 
Try your hand at a new Art form! Arts and Science: For the relatively new artisan we have devised a novice competition. Use any medium be it cloth, wood, paper, food and anything and create something that would have been used in the Middle Ages the second category will be the Best heraldic field display by a group. And best dressed 3-man heavy team (documentation required) For the advanced artisans there will be an open display and competition for best A&S display

Martial activates: As is the tradition of Silver Chalice there will be a Heavy weapons Novice Tourney. Robert the banished will be the Marshall in charge. We seek an Archery Marshall & a Rapier Marshall.

Feast: A veritable feast of the season will be prepared by THL Vulgar Thorgulsson & Lady Annir.

Site: Is the Harleyville Community Center 35 S.Railroad Rd. Harleyville, SC 29448

      Opens at 9AM and Closes at 10 PM 

Directions: From the North take your best route to I -26 Heading to Charleston 

 From the South take your best route to I -26 Heading to Columbia get off at the Harleyville exit and proceed into town at the flashing red light turn left and pass over the railroad tracks and turn right immediately onto----------- Site is on the left 

Cost: Cost for the Days activities will be $5.00 and feast is $7.00. Add the $3.00 surcharge if you are not a member of the SCA

Make all checks payable to the Barony of Hidden Mountain SCA, Inc. As always a paid reservation is the only made reservation.

This is a one-day event. There is a reasonably priced hotel very close to the site for the travelers.
