[MR] Hawkwood's Baronial Birthday: Golden Moon Returns!!

The Barony of Hawkwood invites one and all to our first Baronial
Birthday. There will be an open champions tourney to be followed by
the return of the Golden Moon. A&S competions will be hosted by the
Barony as well as the Corsairium, and Lord Uillieam. Lord Uillieam
will also prepare a feast to satisfy all seating is limited so get
your
reservations in soon.

Arts & Sciences: There will be 6 A&S competitions. The first will be
sponsored by the THLady Muriele (Best heraldic display). The second is
being sponsored by the Corsairium (all things nautical). The third is
being sponsored by Lord Uillieam (most unusual period item). The
fourth will be a  best  illumination and calligraphy on a scroll
sponsered by Mistress Siobhan. Fifth will be a period field medical
kit, sponsered by Lord Menua. Sixth will be an open contest for
Baronial Champion.

Feast: A Celtic Feast to satisfy the tongue as well as the eye.
1st course; viking salmon, soda bread,lemon sauce, mustard sauce and herb butter
2nd: limerick ham, mushrooms and cream, scones
3rd;  shrimp, malt vineager, sausages, rarebit and toast, apples and
caraway.
4th; egg and leek soup,  egg and bacon pie
5th;  apples in red wine, scottish tablet

Site: The Lutherridge Conference Center is close to Asheville NC with
plenty of hotels and restaurants nearby. There are heated cabins and
some tent camping is allowed. This is a wet site.
Site Restrictions: no pets
