Greetings to our friends in Atlantia who may be planning on attending the Barony of Bryn Madoc's(Meridies)Danelaw: Market Day at Jorvik this weekend (Sept. 30- Oct. 2)!
The site for Danelaw is easily accessible from both the I-20 and I-85 corridors. If you want to get directions from your address to the site, the site address is:
456 Alexander St N
Crawfordville, GA 30631
A map to the park may be found at the A.H. Stephens Historic Park website: http://gastateparks.org/net/go/parks.aspx?locationid=37&siteid=5
The site is located north of I-20, near Crawfordville, GA.
>From I-20: Get off at exit #148 and travel towards Crawfordville on GA 22 for 2 miles. Turn right onto US 278 for 1 mile and follow the signs to the park. From Athens: Take GA 78 East to Lexington, then GA 22 East (South) to Crawfordville. Take US 278 for 1 mile and follow the signs to the park.
>From points north of the South Carolina-Georgia border at I-85: Take I-85 into Georgia and exit at Exit 173 (Lavonia exit, the second exit once you are in Georgia).
Follow Ga. 17 through Lavonia, Elberton, to just outside Washington, GA, where you will turn right onto Tignall Rd. Follow Tignall Rd. (which will intersect with GA 44, so if you miss the Tignall Rd. intersection, just take a left onto GA 44 when you get to it and follow it) into Washington and take a right on Lexington Ave. Continuing to follow GA 44 south/Lexington Ave. through downtown Washington, GA 44 will turn left, leaving Lexington Ave., a few blocks from downtown. Follow GA 44 to the GA 22 intersection and turn left. (I believe this is a 4-way stop). Follow GA 22 towards Crawfordville. Take a left onto Park St. (if you cross rail tracks, you went just a little to far, turn around and go back). Take Park St. to Alexander Street and the entrance to AH Stephens State Park and turn left.
This is a back-roads way to the site, but it is MUCH quicker than going to I-20 and then following the directions.

I hope to see many of our Atlantian friends at Danelaw.
