Greetings onto the Frequents of the Rose,
Unofficial Event of the Marinus Scriptorium
Norfolk, VA 23529
I like to announce a beginning layout and painting class for Saturday the
24th of September. The class will begin tentatively at 1 PM and take place
on the ODU Campus in Webb Center in the carpeted North Cafeteria. If due to
campus event it is moved I will bring signage directing everyone to the
changed location in the same building. All signage will be up an hour before
start time, since Campus events take precedence scheduled or not through the
University in case we are moved. This is open to anyone who is interested in
Scriptorium or dabbling. The class will assume no prior skills or knowledge,
so is geared for the complete novice. We will be working from a facsimile to
work up a period looking manuscript page that conforms to Kingdom layout
standards. If your experienced scribe and wish to offer your hand as a
teacher this is a great opportunity to tune your teaching skills with a
willing audience.
Directions:
-Take best route to Hampton Blvd going towards Downtown.
-Turn right onto 49th Street.
-Webb Center is the third building on your left and has glass windows that
cover the exterior walls. You will see a sign by it that says Webb Center
also.
-Pass Web Center. Parking is beyond and behind the next building, Diehn Fine
and Performing Arts Building.
If you get lost or have questions don't hesistate to call my cell:

privately for more detailed directions and a map. I have resources to offer
crash space also.
