Upon the 17th day of September, A.S. XL, Their Majesties, merry King
Janos and Queen Rachel, in whom a virtues contend, held court in the
Barony of Ponte Alto. The day being warm and the air being heavy with
the promise of rain court was called in the feasting hall.
Their Majesties welcomed the children of our Kingdom and distributed
gifts to them to the liking of each (though a small dragon was rejected
by a damsel of extraordinary taste it later found a home with a lad who
felt sympathy for the rejected beasty).
Their excellencies Jonathas and Amalia of Dun Carraig were invited into
the royal presence and presented Their Majesties with gifts and offered
their oaths of fealty. May the sun shine brightly on the blessed
Barony of Dun Carraig and the good folk who dwell therein.
Their Majesties then bestowed the following boons, to wit...
Celia of Rosedale Opal
Allasan Ban Inghean Faolain Coral Branch
Marie Therese De Normand Silver Osprey
Sir Thomas of Calais was presented with a scroll formalizing an award
granted to him previously.
Miles De Locwode Kings Missiliers
Their Majesties then gave permission for Baron Marcellus Capoziello da
Napoli and Baroness Belphoebe de Givet to attend to the business before
the court of Ponte Alto.
The business of the court of Ponte Alto having been completed, Their
Majesties resumed Their court by welcoming those who had joined our
company for the first time. After this was completed King Janos and
Queen Rachel sought to award numerous worthies with limited success.
After much whispered conversation, from which I could glean precious
little information, Their Majesties called upon Wighlef Auchencrow but
he did not appear. Perhaps They were able to conduct Their business
with him later.
The only piece of business which was conducted by Their Majesties after
the closing of the court of Ponte Alto, was to confer a posthumous
Award of Arms upon Sandor Vitez, who by his enthusiasm for the arts of
defense and the dance won the friendship and admiration of many.
There being nothing else to be done which could be done Their Majesties
closed Their court.
Long live Janos and Rachel, King and Queen of Atlantia!
