Thanks, but it's definitely not cardamom.  Cardamom doesn't look or taste
anything like that, it's not structured like that, and is about 1/3 the
size.  I keep whole and ground cardamom on hand, both for cooking and
medicinal purposes.  It makes a very nice carminative when steeped in
brandy.  

 

If anyone wants a sample of this mystery spice, please contact me off list
with your mailing address.  I have plenty, considering I don't know what
it's good for!
