I have known Scott for many years, and I have
purchased a large number of his most excellent weapons
throughtout the years.  Never had a problem with my
transactions and, until recently, he did not accept
any credit cards.  

It sounds to me that there was a glitch in the system
which resulted in an erroneous transcation.  I am sure
that if you talk to Scott he will be mortified no end.

I understand your own shock about it.  The approach of
contacting the credit card company to deal with it is
the most sound.  I do that all the time.  By the same
token, they will ask you if you have contacted the
merchant and attempted to fix the problem.  You may
want to do that and clarify it with him all the same.

There are many people out there that will scam people
with credit cards.  Scott is not one of them.
