Greetings to the List,
My husband brought up an interesting question tonight that I'd like to pose
to the list. I am just recently the new Webminister for my Barony and have
been revamping the website. We happen to have a photographer of great esteem
in the Barony who sent me a few CDs of excellent photos from events.
I mentioned to him (my husband) that I am going through the photos and will
soon start a barrage of emails requesting permission to use the photos and
he said, "Isn't it understood with the waiver that you sign at events, that
photos may be used for non-commercial purposes?" and I had no idea. I
*think* I still have to request permission if the person is identifiable.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
In joyful service,
Lady Hannah of Cyddlain Downs

When I was doing newsletters for the chapel in the Air Force we had to pay
strict attention to copyright information. What I was told was that the act
of posing for a picture implies consent for the picture to be taken and if
the property of the photographer. I am not a lawyer, though and things may
be different.
