Look, let's not get into name calling every time gas has gone sky high
compared to what it was people scream, and want to blame the big gas
gusslers, some of us need a big car, some don't some need a big truck some
don't. Rationing has only made things sillier, I remember the rationing
when I was a young buck under Nixon. We spent every day in line, my Mom's
car was odd and Dad's was even. Dad had told me stories of my grandparents
having limits on their gas in WWII. We can blame the other fellow but the
truth is the world is pumping near capacity, and we are shy on refining
capacity.
Instead of wanting to hang the messager why don't we set up a car pool,
group for the SCA, that way fewer cars will need to go to the events
everyone can split the bill and it wont hurt as bad. Fighting doesn't solve
problems, looking for solutions does. I need my Pickup truck, I can't put
200 chicks in a Dodge Neon, well I might be able to but I wont want the car
until it was really detailed! and I can't put a mare in the trunk of one.
I have a similar problem with my scooter so I have a mini van, but we are
looking to get a used neon for the wife to use as a commuter car, and she
carpools as much as she can. Oil is still after adjusted for inflation than
it was in 1979, so I can't hollar to much, I remember having to sell my car
back then because I could afford insurance and gas on my pay, and handle
college bills.
If some one wants to start a car pool list contact me off list at
