[MR] Gas and Vehicle issues

It seems to me that Five, count them, Five daily digests from the Merry Rose, with well over 3/4 of the posts being people arguing and complaining about mundane issues is quite enough. (That is 5 yesterday and 5 more today)

The thing is, if you own a vehicle, any vehicle, and don't want to buy gas to go to an event, don't do it, don't go. Just don't get yourself in a tissy if  Lord and Lady Whoever decide to pay the high prices and drive their huge, "makes-a-hummer-look-little" SUV, and get your bowels in an uproar. I was personally planning to attend three events on consecutive weekends, and have had to pick just one instead, due to gas prices. However it really doesn't matter why I'm not going to the others, or even if I am going. It's certainly no issue for me to post and/or discuss in this forum.

I applaud people posting to look for carpools and other ways of making it easier on the populace, but if you want a political discussion, or a gripe and moan session, I suggest various other Yahoo! groups, or, since it's free, you can start your own group there for whatever topic you wish.

Muddling through 5 daily digests to find pertinent posts is just a bit too much. There's a reason they call it a DAILY digest! Please spare the rest of us the pain of these discussions and take them off list.
