gas in charlotte right now ranges from $2.99 to $3.40. few stations are out
of gas and there are no lines at any stations. honestly though if you look
at how much gas you use on say a 200 mile trip one way (roughly 13 gallons
if your car isnt that economic), double that for a round trip (26 gallons)
and multiply it by the .50 increase in prices (on average) youre only
looking at $13 more overall. divide that by the three people in the car and
youre talking about very little. hysteria indeed.

Dear Atlantians,

For those considering heading down to Coronation. The prices I have
seen in SC have risen about 20-30%. Prices were around $2.50-$2.60, and are
now around $3.00 to $3.20. I haven't seen any places out of gas (as all the
hysteria has been claiming) in SC and except for the rush on Wednesday when
everyone went to get gas, I haven't seen any lines. Maybe we don't use as
much down here!

So, if you are coming down, there is gas, and it isn't $5.00! Drive
safe, and if you can't make it we understand.
