As far as I know, the Red Cross is specifically NOT
asking for household goods at this time as there is no
where to store the goods until they can be
distributed, and there is of course, no where to
distribute them. 

Household goods also have to be inspected, cleaned,
and sorted, which the Red Cross does not have the
man-power for currently. I would imagine the situation
is the same for the Salvation Army and Catholic
Charities. 

My suggestion would be to try and find individuals
(either through the SCA or some other means) and send
goods directly that way.
