In light of the gas discussion...
I won't get into who drives what but I will offer a solution and a plea.
I was to start a new job yesterday. I drove all the way from my home in
Laurel, MD to Arlington, VA only to discover not all the proper
paperwork had been done and I couldn't get a badge and couldn't start my
job. I did notice on my drive down the BW parkway through DC to 395 to
50 (I'll be working at the National Guard Readines Center at 50 and
George Mason Drive). That most cars held one person. I will now be
starting on Tuesday, which I know from exerience and have been warn is a
when all the vacationer return and traffic gets back to DC gridlock. :-(
Now those who know me, know I've been either working at home or out of
work for the last 6 years. Commuting is quite a shock. But I was very
shocked at how few van or carpools seem to be on the road.
I've already registered with Commuter Connections and may find a
vanpool/carpool with them. But maybe a fellow Atlantian makes a
similiar commute. Like I said I'm in Laurel near the BW Parkway and
198. I'm also close to the Park-n-Ride on 197 in Laurel. My hours are
still to be determined. But I can't leave any earlier then 7AM (that's
when my daughter's morning care starts) and I need to be home before 6pm
(when after care ends) email me at cecij at cablespeed.com
Thank You
