My aunt in Montgomery said they're rationing to 20 gal per person.
We also heard they are considering doing the even odd thing from the late
70s gas shortage (as I remember sitting in my chair in line waiting).
Did get good news! My baby brother just called me from Jennings LA. He was
offered a job in the oil field. He's staying with SCAdians and he's an
armourer and black smithe. He said they're DESPERATE for workers.
My mum is still missing, but brother said he got to his house in Ponchatoula
(mum lives on the acres behind him). She had cleaned out the fridges and
her clothing and sewing machine (that's MY mum!) and is gone. Don't know
where but she is alive. Their property (about 15 acres) is now a prairie.
Trees everywhere but no structural damage.

gas in charlotte right now ranges from $2.99 to $3.40. few stations are out
of gas and there are no lines at any stations. honestly though if you look
at how much gas you use on say a 200 mile trip one way (roughly 13 gallons
if your car isnt that economic), double that for a round trip (26 gallons)
and multiply it by the .50 increase in prices (on average) youre only
looking at $13 more overall. divide that by the three people in the car and
youre talking about very little. hysteria indeed.
