Unto all the Known World's Peoples does the most grateful AshaHito send
Great good tidings and Greetings:

Low this past Saturday did the fields ring with battle and contest. The
numbers of Civilized folk were massive and overwhelming, While the Normans
seemed to avoid support of our Baron and Baroness. None the less the Norman
populace carried the day in the trials that involved the masses while the
skills of the easterners won the day where individual prowess and
specialized talent was required. Yeah we did teach them a great lesson in
respect for the merchants and visitors of their land.

I have stepped down from managing the great estates know as
Yarnvid, with all it's might and glory for I have realized that this is much
too much a public display of Power and Riches for the truly superior man who
by all that is right must be Humble. The new Seneschal & fearless leader
being some red Irish lass we found handy that day! I will, of course, be
managing and governing the Barony, as is appropriate to our great victory,
but in Humble way. We need not offend the kings and Queens as they saw the
right of our cause and withheld their armies from the field so that these
Normans might be taught a proper lesson. Therefore, henceforth I shall adopt
the position of UmbralKhan CaerMear. We shall leave these Normans to their
station in public. This shall not disadvantage us, since they have learned
the power and might of those they once ignored. All former officers shall
continue in their prior roles as acting officers. To insure their conduct
know that I will hold their properties and families hostage in absentia. In
accordance with my increased humbleness, and my awareness of the
vulnerability of public spectacle, I will allow the current baron and
Baroness to hold public courts and transact their business as before, as if
there were no changes. But Know that I will be watching from a properly
humble position of safety. That will teach them!

I have also taken a small lesson in economics of warfare that
may make things more negotiable in the future. For after my house fed the
masses and provided quantities of mead and ale, and paid the mercenaries and
prizes, the bill seems to total up to a bit more than the cask of mead and
the two goats that were asked in tribute. This will require some future
study!

The most humble, poorer AshaHito

UmbralKhan CaerMear

OOP PS:

If you attended A cunning Plan and Left before the evening
court/ dinner. Come by my table whenever you see me merchanting, I owe you
your prize/payment. Also I have believe the Pot Luck Feast contest was an
GREATY success. And it should be noted that the Potluck judging was won by
Yarnvid's newest member in a tie with one of Yarnvid's youngest! It doesn't
get much better than that.
