[MR] New name for Stierbach's incipient western canton

Stierbach's incipient western canton is proud to announce that it's
name--or, rather, a form of it--has been accepted and registered by the
Laurel Sovereign of Arms of the SCA. 

Our official name, formerly Abhainn an Iar, is now Abhainn Iarthair,
pronounced "A-van YAR-thur," as detailed in the letter below from
Atlantia's Golden Dolphin Herald.

Please update any and all records, databases, online reports forms, or
anything else necessary, with the new name. 

All other information that I or  the canton's other officers have given
to date remains the same. If you have any questions, please contact me

The College of Heralds of Atlantia is delighted to inform you that at 
meetings held in July, 2005, reported in a letter received on 15 
October, 2005, the Laurel Office registered your name.

The Laurel Office modified the submitted name of Abhainn an Iar to 
Abhainn Iarthair because you had indicated that you wished the name to 
mean "West River" and they felt that the form Iarthair was a more 
period form based on the existence of the name Iarthair Midhe for 
Westmeath in the period Annals of the Four Masters.
