Gentlefolk of Atlantia -
Only a fortnight remains until the Grandest of all Tournaments - Atlantian
Crown Tourney - takes place. If you plan to attend, and have not yet sent
your reservation, please do so post haste, as space is becoming quite limited.
Their most gracious Majesties have extended the deadline for submission of
Letters of Intent until 10/22/05.
Two New A&S Competitions will be held:
Pages Competition:
In honor of the fierce competition being waged on the list field by those
who would seek to rule Atlantia, the Pages Academy is sponsoring a
competition for children ages 9-14, the theme of which is "All things
Atlantian!" There are no restrictions on art forms, but the motif must be
one that the entrant feels most represents Atlantia. Colors like blue and
gold, spike, sea creatures, etc.
Entrants need not be in the Pages Academy to compete, BUT Pages will receive
credit towards ranks in the Academy by entering. 1 page of documentation
is required, explaining what the medium is, its historical base (if any),
and what about Atlantia it is representing.
Any questions may be directed to livia at nc.rr.com, or called at (919)
280-2909.
Scribal Competition:
Scroll Blanks! All scribes who will be attending the Crown Tournament to
record the important decision of who will sit next upon the throne, are
invited to compete for a prize donated by the Clerk Signet and Lady Livia
Zanna . Their Majesties, in need of Coral Branches and Opals to bestow
upon their overly talented, and supremely hard-working populace, have
decreed that they need scroll blanks for these two awards. Entries will be
judged on quality as well as quantity. Note: The contest is for SCROLL
blanks, that is to say real scrolls that can be filled in at a later time,
and not promissories.
Also, please take care when it comes to devising the badges for these two
devices properly, as a miscolored opal scroll is no better than a
promissory, despite the many hours of hard work that may have gone in its
creation.
Any questions regarding the competition may go to Lady Livia Zanna at
livia at nc.rr.com, or (919) 280-2909.
