Completely understood.

I was just very surprised in this case.   I know that the Northern part 
of the Kingdom (at least Highland Foorde), would have never thought of 
submitting an event bid for Unevent ...

Given that it had held a traditional spot, which was a good spot ... and 
even if it would have needed to move (I now understand that it had need 
to move due to the site contact leaving their job)....

But that even had it needed to move, that

A) There would be another 'middle of kingdom' group that would snap it 
up ... or at least that:

B) There would be an announcement of such (at least to the 
Seneschals/Baronage, if not to the Merry Rose), that the traditional 
site was lost, and that bids were needed.

So, I'm just very surprised, that after having not heard anything to the 
contrary, that suddenly I hear the unofficial word through someone else, 
just 2 months before the event, that it is in a different place - and 
one very 'not central'

Thank you very much for confirming this though ... as now people have 
time to plan.
