And Curia is when? I didn't see it on the unevent schedule. Or I could have
deleted it by accident.....

In 20 more days, Stierbach's annual Shopping event will begin. We have
merchants coming from Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Jersey,
Maryland, West Virginia, and Ohio. And I am still getting merchants
registration forms!

I have some of your favorites returning again this year like Tasteful
Treasures, Blackwood Jewellery, Fabric Dragon, Big Bob's Little Knife Shop,
Gregge the Archer, The Merlion's Tail (mka Sewing Central), The Spanish
Peacock, Taylor Made Garments, and Barbarians and Babes. This is not a
complete list of returning merchants-I have more!

We also have new merchants coming: Brute Force Leather, Silver Wolf
Productions, Dopey Dragon Dry Goods, Caledonia Pottery, Buckston
Maddermarket, Greybarr Traditional Archery and Lions Keep Emporium. Again,
not a complete list of merchants.

As we get closer to Holiday Faire, I will continue to post more lists of
merchants.

If you are a Merchant, I still have space available. Download a
registration form and send it in. http://www.stierbach.org/main.html.

Mark your calendar's, make that 12th night gift list and ask yourself, where
else are you going to get those hard to find gifts for the holidays? Lunch
will also be available for a small fee, so you won't have to pack your feast
baskets, prepare a noonday meal, and take up valueable transportation space
(your gonna need that space for all your treasures you will find at Holiday
Faire.)

And if your looking for a little something outside of shopping all day,
well, how about Martial Activities? There will be heavy and rapier fighting
indoors and outdoor target archery. Note: The traditional Lochmere Arrow
Shoot will be held at Holiday Faire. For more information contact Earl Mika
Longbow at earlmika at aol.com.

This year we are in two buildings increasing the numbers of available
merchant spaces. Merchants need to pre-register. Sign-up forms are
available at http://www.stierbach.org/main.html. The only reservation is a
paid one. Send your Reservations to the Merchant Coordinator: Lady
Cairistiona de Coveran (Laurie Clarkston), 503 Ronnie Court, Spotsylvania,
VA 22553. 540-582-2699, email: garadh at erols.com. Please include SCA Name,

Every other year the BIG Bead Expo takes place out in
New Mexico and I try to time a visit to my mother at
the same time (the alternating years are in
Miami)...so I was on line looking to see when it was
going to be in 2006 and I noticed it said it will be
in Charleston, SC!

They don't have the details up on the website yet
(http://beadexpo.com), but it will be May 17th-21st.
For those who have not had the opportunity to go to
one of these, it is NOT JUST YOUR AVERAGE BEAD SHOW!
Not only do they have hundreds of vendors, AND lots
of hands on workshops in all facets of beading,
beadmaking, jewelry making, etc. (85 this year) BUT
they also have the top bead researcher presenting
their finds, research and theories! There is also the
General Meeting of the Society of Bead Researchers.

I HIGHLY recommend attending if you can! I will be!
(Mom is just gonna' have to make do with seeing me at
Christmas!)

Sveva Lucciola

"If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy.
If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem.
But I arise in the morning torn between the desire to improve the world,
and a desire to enjoy the world.
This makes it hard to plan the day."
