 well there is always someone that feels the need to be in charge and
moderate people or whatever. very silly. but, i did want to point out and
remind everyone that this list (the merry rose) and any other email list do
not fall under anyones auspice. they are not official sca means of
communication and can not be assumed to be official means of communication
ever. this has been the society chroniclers policy for a long time now.

logan

Never explain - your friends do not need it and your enemies will not

If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his
vengeance need not be feared.

  I won't waste much time on pointing out that this DOES NOT affect the
entire kingdom and should NOT have been posted to the Kingdom's e-list. I
expect an entire barrage of flaming emails to follow as people over-react.

  To answer your question, the Baronial Pollings are sent to each PAID
MEMBER of the SCA. I don't know what an E&E subscriber is, but by Kingdom
Law... well, here, you read it.

  http://seneschal.atlantia.sca.org/

  So, anyway, hope that helps you some.

  Your (and Jody's) concerns on the actions of the moderator of your list
need to be directed to whomever supervises your lists's moderator, be it
your group's seneschal, your Baron/ess, whomever. In our Barony, the e-list
is moderated by the Webminister (which is me) and I am accountable to the
Kingdom Webminister and the Kingdom Chronicler. If, however, your list is
not moderated by your Barony's webminister, then I would contact the
Seneschal of said group. Making a public spectacle of it only embarasses
yourself and Jody, particularly with numerous spelling and grammar errors
which suggest that you were either VERY upset when you wrote the post, or
not a good typist. (Or you're like me and just drop words in the middle of
a sentence and don't notice it until you see it in the reply someone just
sent you).

  Good luck getting your debate resolved!

    I am fowarding this as it is important. Information on Turning leaves.

    Jody has been "blocked and monitered " from the list for just asking
who is running and what is the polling process for the new Baron and
Baroness ( the same questions "EVERY" seems to be asking) and can not post
to the list because of the "self proclamed monterator of the list" It seems
certain people "DO NOT WANT OPEN DISCUSUSSON" in this Barony. I may be
blocked now for writing this. The Barony is "DOOMED if information is not
gotten out and we have open discusion on the topics ipmportant to the Barony
and of of what is going on. The list serv is where this should be going
on. An open "DISCUSSION" . Going by some of the Emails on the list, a lot of
people are getting fed up with the lack of information and things being
done on the sly. A question that has been asked several times and "not"
answered is "who is eligble to be polled for the new Baron/baroness, all
the paid members of Black Diamond or only E&E subscribers?"
    An addtional note. The polling is for "all members" in the zip codes
for the Barony per Kingdon law. This was just posted by Roberto Perez.

    To stop the rumors about turning leaves; way back in aug we stated
doing the Pa Ren Fair; By the 3rd week of the fair felt we knew we could not
handle the fair and being autocrat for turning leaves; We notified the
Schensal and the Baron and  Baroness;
    Posted that cause of life happening we were resigning from doing
Turning Leaves;
    This was done last week in Aug;
    Went to the Atlantia  Web  site and  went into  updates  canceled event;
    I knew this would not be in time for Sept but was in plenty of time
for OCT;
    I also sent a hard copy to the address I sent the forms with the
marshals on it;
    This was just in case for some reason the web site did not take
information;
    We canceled the site in plenty of time to receive the deposit back; The
deposit was sent to the address on the check and then returned to the site
; The site then sent to us; The check was placed in the Baron & Baroness
hand before the Sept Meeting; The Exchequer should have received at that
meeting the check;
    Feeling that I done everything I should have to canceled this event; I
went on with our life stuff ;Merchanting at the PA Ren Fair; From Aug to
the end of Oct when we returned home;
    I saw the posting people were commenting about not knowing event was
canceled;
    There was a post from the Baron for anyone to step up and run the
event; I was more then willing to give them my full list of vendors and all
information  and what we had done;
    So we did not just ditch this event without notice; But in turned did
all what we were suppose to do;
    I apologize for those who missed the post about Life happening not
letting us  continue with  running turning leaves;
    This Message needs to posted if it is blocked sending a copy of
blocked letter to Kingdom

    Sorry Turning  Leaves  did not happen;
    We had a great and Prosperous Season  at the Faire;

    Thank You
    Rosemary of  Da Teas
