Storvik Novice and Unbelt Tourney
July 8-10, 2005
Barony of Storvik
Kingdom of Atlantia

The Honorable Barony of Storvik would like to invite you to join us in
proclaiming the skills of our up and coming members at our Novice and Unbelt
Tourney. Feast your eyes on the prowess of our novice and veteran soldiers
and the beauty created by skilled and gentle hands in the Arts and Science
Competition. Shop in the stalls of Market Street vendors picking up gifts
for all wile feasting on the rich sustenance of delectable morsels provided
by an array of chefs.

Martial Activities
Come to prepare for war. Heavy fighting and Rapier novices will be able to
authorize (authorizations will start at 9:30) and then compete in separate
Novice Tourneys with pomp and circumstance. The Storvik's Unbelt tourney
will return in full force this year for all outside of the Chivalry. Our
youngest fighters will challenge each other. Arrows will fly on the north
hill on the target range. Combat archers will see action during the
afternoon melee scenarios led by Duke Badouin Mackenzie. A Northern
Regional War Practice will occur on Sunday.

Arts and Science
There will be a wide array of informal and formal classes available
throughout the day. Lords and Ladies will be leading lessons in
calligraphy, needlework, finger loop braiding, dancing, brewing, quilting,
cards, and many others. Please bring your skills and share them with all.
Please contact autocrat for all who would like to share their knowledge.

A Novice Arts and Science competition will be an opportunity for all to show
work in a field new to them. Documentation is encouraged but not required.
Examples of work by experienced artisans will be graciously displayed as
well.

Silent Auction: There will be a silent auction with all the proceeds going
to benefit Storvik's Fighter Practice Fund. We are seeking the lost and
hidden treasures within Storvik and throughout the rest of the land.
Artisans, craftsmen, fighters and collectors alike are encouraged to donate
their handcrafted wares or medieval and period items that may be lying
around unused or unwanted, just waiting to go to good homes.

Contact, the auction coordinator, Kim of Wolfshaven (Kim Toyofuku) at
(301-490-9362) or email kim_wolfshavensca at yahoo.com you would like to make a
donation or have any questions.

Feast
In the spirit of novelty, food will be served by a plethora of food
merchants, instead of a traditional feast. As an opportunity for trying out
new things and for fundraising, we are encouraging individuals interested in
bringing their favorite items to sell at the festival to contact the food
coordinator. This must be for an announced fundraiser. Please contact Lady
Tirzah (food coordinator) at 703-966-0787 between 4 and 9 or at
feast at otcreation.com.

Merchant Information: Merchants are welcome and should contact Herveus
d'Ormonde (Michael Houghton) in advance at 301-464-8375 or
herveus at radix.net. In order to assure proper tent space and to properly
gather merchant information for printing in the event schedule please email
the merchant coordinator indicating that you desire a space.
