There are many who prefer not or are unable, for whatever reason, to use gmail. 

Everyone should attempt to be courteous and try to remember to trim
their posts.

This is *especially* important for gmail uses as it is not always
obvious when there is a lot of dreck in the post they are replying to
or forwarding.
