[MR] almond milk question

I noticed the other day that 'Almond milk' is being
sold (at least by Whole Foods) as a milk alternative.
I looked at the ingredients list, and it's true that
it seems to contain more than what a period 'almond
milk' would but I don't know enough to really judge
the contents. (Although I do know enough to avoid the
varieties containing chocolate and vanilla!) 

Has anyone out there has tried using this stuff in a
period recipe?
